IS THIS YOUR BODY AURA !

One part of energy has manifested itself into a certain level of reverberation which makes it a physical form. The other part of energy also has a form. That form which is not physical but still maintains a form, is being called aura. It is a field of light and energy around the body. Essentially, the physical, mental, emotional and energy status of who you are right now is represented by your aura in a certain way; it is visible through the aura.

Auras are of many kinds. One can carry anything from a pitch black aura to a pure white aura. Between these two, there are millions of shades. In all this, only two types of auras are of significance. When you are in a state of realisation, your aura will be pure white. When a yogi who has experienced realisation chooses to make himself dynamic, the aura will become electric blue. It is in this context we refer to certain great beings of the past as "the blue ones".

For different requirements, one may change the nature of the aura. The energy is different. The aura is different. The person is different. Everything is different. Because, to do a particular kind of work, you need a certain kind of aura. The aura is just an indicator. The aura is not the real thing.

Don't try to see people's auras. The aura is the periphery of the person. Look a little more at the core of the being rather than looking at the surface. The surface is for doctors because they want to fix a physical part that may be going wrong. The surface should not be the interest of a spiritual seeker. What you call aura is even more superficial than the skin because it's even further out.

It is said that "beauty is skin-deep". A certain type of beauty is skin-deep. If you see someone with skin peeled off, you wouldn't think she is beautiful. But the aura is not even skin-deep, so it is not worth spending time on it. If you become conscious of the core, the surface may be visible to you, but trying to see and read people's aura will be a waste of your time. If your perception is enhanced, you may see things. It is good to see things which are there. If you start seeing things which are not there, that's the first step towards insanity. So you must be focused on the core, not on the surface.

All those who believe they are spiritual but who are really not, they are the biggest deterrent for others to seek any spirituality. Because of too many people like this, right-thinking people who are a little more sensible don't want to have anything to do with spirituality.

If you have the necessary insight, the aura may give you access to the nature of the person, but you are only looking at the psychological, emotional and physical structure of the human being. On the spiritual path, it is best to ignore the aura ^ yours and everybody else's ^ and focus on the core. If you are focused on the core, you will have a wonderful aura. If your focus is on the surface, you will have a miserable aura. So don't keep looking at your and other people's auras. It's time you looked at the core of yourself and the other. If you look at the core of yourself, then naturally you will see the core of everything because in the core, "this and that" does not exist. In the core, only "this" exists. Only on the surface, "this and that" exists.

LIFE IS A PROCESS OF TRANSFORMATION !

You have to learn to frame an experience in such a way that there is growth. Your focus is to convert ` samsara' into `nirvana' or bondage into salvation. For that to happen, what is important is atma smaranam or self-remembrance.

If we can remember to be constantly awake to our inner world of thoughts, interpretations, emotions, likes and dislikes, a new level of reality will open up and thus we will be free from our inner prisons.

There are both legitimate fears and illegitimate fears. When a tiger comes near you, there is fear, and it is a legitimate fear. The fear of the future is not legitimate. In fact it is interesting, even exciting, not to know about the future.

A lady came to me and said, "I am afraid of what my future is going to be since my husband's company has been taken over by another company." I told her that it is not something she has to be afraid of. Look into your life... lots of wonderful things have happened. You were born in a poor family, and see how well placed you are now. So, draw your energy from the best things which have happened to you.

As children we don't have fear. Elders sow the concept of fear. Then fear becomes a part of us. A child easily falls. Then a fear is installed. Slowly as the child grows up he is afraid to fall. The body becomes rigid and resists a graceful fall.

In martial art we are taught to fall gracefully, but the mind creates the fear of injury and makes the body rigid. There is a process one has to unlearn in martial art... not to bring in the mind so that you can be free to learn to fall gracefully. Then a fall has an element of pleasure.

A person who lives only in the level of senses and sense pleasure is at one level. Another person who has developed the joy of opening up the body lock and the energies hidden in the body by right dieting, right exercise... is at another level.

The next level is that of a person who has opened the emotional lock. He brings in the energies of love, compassion and gratitude instead of anger and jealousy... he has opened up his emotions.

One is at yet another level when one has opened the intellectual lock... the energies of right thinking, having the right clarity and intelligence.

Finally, what about one who has opened up the spiritual lock, the hidden energies in oneself? This happens when there is inner purity and inner calmness. Such a person is at the highest level.

Life is a combination of ignorance and knowledge. It needs fine-tuning. Suppose your house has Italian marble but if it is not polished, then it will look like ordinary flooring. Similarly, you have knowledge but if it is not polished with humility and understanding, then such knowledge will not shine forth.

Look at life with awareness. Everyone at some level is stupid, is helpless and this recognition helps us to act wisely. If people think, "I know, i need not change," such knowledge will bind a person; it will not free him.

COURAGE TO FACE LIFE !

Courage, it would seem, is nothing less than the power to overcome danger, misfortune, fear, injustice, while continuing to affirm inwardly that life with all its sorrows is good; that everything is meaningful even if in a sense beyond our understanding; and that there is always tomorrow.

MEASURE OF A HAPPY LIFE !

There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.

LIFE DOES MATTER EACH DAY !

How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.

LIVE YOUR LIFE !

And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

LIVE IN THE PRESENT MOMENT !

  • Be in the MomentFocus on what's right in front of you, using your senses to connect with the environment. Take a few seconds to smell the aroma of the food you're eating and savor its taste. Take a few steps and let go of thoughts, feeling the ground massaging your feet with each step.

FOOD MAGIC FOR THAT SPECIAL FEELING !

  • Eat Certain foods contain compounds that may help the body produce mood-boosting neurochemicals.The following foods have been shown to produce a noticeable calming effect: turkey (high in tryptophan, taurine and B6); pumpkin seeds, spinach and black beans (all high in magnesium); papaya (high in vitamin C); and bananas (high in potassium).

LAUGH AT LIFE !

  • Laugh Out Loud

    According to a University of California, Irvine study, even the expectation of a laugh boosts stress-busting hormones and increases hormones that induce relaxation—an effect that can last for up to 24 hours. Read a comic strip, check out the joke of the day or make funny faces in the mirror until you bust out with a belly laugh.

JUMPING JACKS ARE COOL !

  • Take 10

    Break the tension of long days by doing 10 jumping jacks, push-ups or anything that gets the blood flowing through the body. "This helps to release endorphins, which are a natural stress reliever.

CARBS FOR THAT CALM FEELING !

  • Crave Complex CarbsComplex carbohydrates boost serotonin levels and keep a heightened sense of calm and relaxation for a longer period of time. Target carbs include whole-grain foods and cereals—such as whole-grain breads, oats and brown rice—as well as legumes such as peas, beans and lentils.

THINK RELAXING THOUGHTS !

  • Reframe Your Thoughts

    "Reframing simply means putting a different context around the situation. For example, think of time spent in a long line as a break from a busy day—a chance to relax your mind or meet someone new like the person standing next to you. A positive spin can counteract the stress-induced physiological changes that wreak havoc on your body

STRETCH FOR THAT RELAXED FEELING !

  • Stretch for Balance

    Sit in a chair with your left foot on the floor. Put your right ankle on your left knee and lean forward with a stretch. Hold it as far as you can go, then bend forward a bit more. Repeat on the other side. This opens up your hips and balances that tensed up muscle feeling.

YOGIC POSTURES DO HELP !

  • Strike a Yoga Pose"When we get stressed, we tend to tense up and cave our chest in," says Lissa. She recommends folding your hands as if in prayer behind your back, then pulling your shoulders back, tilting your head back and breathing deeply.

DID YOU MEAN BERRIES ?

  • Eat BerriesBlueberries, blackberries and other berries contain some of nature's most powerful antioxidants and are jam-packed with vitamin C, making them potent stress-busters. Stress causes the body to release free radicals—highly unstable oxygen molecules that can damage normal cells—and antioxidants help to neutralize those harmful molecules.

PUT ON THE PRESSURE !

Self-administer acupressure," suggests Susan Lark MD, a leading authority on integrative medicine and women's health. Put your left finger at the base of your skull, then move it down the width of one finger, and then move it to the left the width of one finger. Position your right finger in the same place on the right side. Press both points for one to three minutes. According to Dr. Lark, a second stress-busting point is located four finger-widths below your kneecap and one finger-width to the outside of your shin. (You should feel a slight indentation.)

POP THAT STRESS PILL !

  • Pop a Vitamin C PillResearchers at the University of Alabama say that vitamin C reduces the levels of stress hormones in the blood, which may alleviate the body's response to stress. Studies suggest that 1,000 mg of vitamin C is most helpful.

SURE SMELLS REAL GOOD !

  • Take a WhiffAromatherapy has calming effects that can tame the tension in no time. Proven stress-reducing aromas include lavender, lemon balm, chamomile and geranium. Carol Duncan, a registered aromatherapist and owner of Massage Central says to place a few drops of essential oils on cotton balls and place them a few inches from fans or heater vents or underneath your car seat. "Each time air passes over the cotton ball, the essential oils are reintroduced to the area," she explains.

ARE YOU ALL EARS FOR THIS ?

  • Rub Your Ears"According to Ayurveda, India's 5,000-year-old 'science of life,' there are marma points—like acupuncture points—in the ears that correspond to the various parts of the body," says Lissa Coffey, author/producer of the Dosha Yoga DVD. Simply rub the circumference of each ear—right hand on right ear and left hand on left ear—to instantly ease tension.

ARE YOU NUTS , REALLY ?

  • Go NutsNext time you feel a bit cracked up, forgo the junk food and snack on some nuts instead. Nuts are typically high in tryptophan and magnesium, two key nutrients that support serotonin production. And almonds are especially high in stress-busting B vitamins, zinc, vitamin E and antioxidants

BLACK TEA IS GOOD FOR YOU !

  • Drink TeaBlack tea has been shown to have an effect on stress hormone levels in the body. Researchers in England have found that people who drink black tea de-stress more quickly than those drinking a fake tea substitute. Tea contains catechins, polyphenols, flavonoids and amino acids that affect your brain's neurotransmitters and ultimately reduce blood levels of the stress hormone cortisol.

LEARN TO DESTRESS YOUR LIFE !

Whether we're fretting over that pile of monthly bills or anticipating an exciting change like the birth of a new nephew, the million things we've got going on can leave us all feeling like big balls of stress—and that can wreak serious havoc on our health. But you don't need to turn your life inside out to beat the effects of stress. You need to learn quick and easy natural solutions that can help you stay mellow in a crazy world.

SEEK OUT LAUGHTER IN YOUR LIFE !

  • Watch comedy DVD’s and TV shows. Remember classics like the Marx Brothers and the Three Stooges.
  • Go to comedy clubs.
  • Listen to comedy while driving.
  • Read comic authors.
  • Seek out funny people.
  • Spend less time with overly serious people.
  • Bring humor into conversations. Ask people, “What’s the funniest thing that happened to you today? This week? In your life?”

THE JOKE IS ON YOU !

Laugh at yourself.

Share your embarrassing moments. The best way to take ourselves less seriously is talk about times when we took ourselves too seriously.

YOUR LIFE TOO SERIOUS ?

Be less serious.

Realize that while your ambitions may be noble, being overly serious about them weighs you down and lessens your chances for achieving them.

YOUR LIFE IN PERSPECTIVE !

View your life in context.

Even world leaders realize they have limited ability to affect others’ lives. While we might think taking the weight of the world on our shoulders is admirable, in the long run it’s unrealistic, unproductive, unhealthy and even egotistical.

BLESSINGS IN YOUR LIFE !

Count your blessings.

Literally make a list. The simple act of considering the good things in your life will distance you from negative thoughts that are a barrier to humor and laughter. When in a state of sadness, we have further to travel to get to humor and laughter.

SMILE ALL YOUR LIFE !

Smile.

Smiling is the beginning of laughter. Like laughter, it’s contagious. Pioneers in “laugh therapy,” find it’s possible to laugh without even experiencing a funny event. The same holds for smiling. When you look at someone or see something even mildly pleasing, practice smiling.

LAUGH YOUR LIFE TENSIONS AWAY !

Laughter stimulates both sides of the brain to enhance learning. It eases muscle tension and psychological stress, which keeps the brain alert and allows people to retain more information

LAUGH THOSE CALORIES AWAY !

Laughter can be a great workout for your diaphragm, abdominal, respiratory, facial, leg, and back muscles. It massages abdominal organs, tones intestinal functioning, and strengthens the muscles that hold the abdominal organs in place. Not only does laughter give your midsection a workout, it can benefit digestion and absorption functioning as well. It is estimated that hearty laughter can burn calories equivalent to several minutes on the rowing machine or the exercise bike.

LAUGH AT LIFE TO PROTECT YOUR HEART !

Laughter, along with an active sense of humor, may help protect you against a heart attack, according to the study at the University of Maryland Medical Center (cited above). The study, which is the first to indicate that laughter may help prevent heart disease, found that people with heart disease were 40 percent less likely to laugh in a variety of situations compared to people of the same age without heart disease.

LAUGH YOUR BP LOWER !

People who laugh heartily on a regular basis have lower standing blood pressure than the average person. When people have a good laugh, initially the blood pressure increases, but then it decreases to levels below normal. Breathing then becomes deeper which sends oxygen enriched blood and nutrients throughout the body.

LAUGHTER FOR BODY & SOUL !

"Laughter activates the chemistry of the will to live and increases our capacity to fight disease. Laughing relaxes the body and reduces problems associated with high blood pressure, strokes, arthritis, and ulcers. Some research suggests that laughter may also reduce the risk of heart disease. Historically, research has shown that distressing emotions (depression, anger, anxiety, and stress) are all related to heart disease. A study done at the University of Maryland Medical Center suggests that a good sense of humor and the ability to laugh at stressful situations helps mitigate the damaging physical effects of distressing emotions.

A good hearty laugh can help:

  • reduce stress
  • lower blood pressure
  • elevate mood
  • boost immune system
  • improve brain functioning
  • protect the heart
  • connect you to others
  • foster instant relaxation
  • make you feel good.

MEDITATION IN YOUR LIFE !

Meditation :

Broadly speaking, meditation is a relaxed, centred state of awareness and connectedness: a place of being in the here and now. During meditation, brain wave patterns slow, taking us into a pleasant, light day-dreaming state which induces overall well-being. Our muscles relax, digestion improves, heart rate lowers, breathing slows and deepens and we produce mood-enhancing endorphins.

Immediate benefits :

  1. Meditation is well known to be a really effective way to manage stress. As we enter this relaxed but aware state of being in the moment, the everyday thinking part of our brain takes a back seat; released from the busy chatter of our mind we create a space for ourselves in which to re-balance and re-charge.
  2. Meditation provides a gentle means for self-development. By putting us in touch with our natural resources, we are able to find balance, perspective and support within ourselves. We need balance, perspective and support in order to function healthily – both on a personal and social level. With these in place, we can begin to relate better to ourselves and others.
  3. Whatever our belief system, meditation also provides us with an opportunity to explore the spiritual side to our nature. This can be extremely life affirming, and help us to deal with the psychological and physical challenges that come with ill-health.

PURPOSE OF YOUR LIFE !

Picture

What is the purpose of your life?

Very, very few people know. And unless you discover the purpose of your life, everything else is meaningless.

  • Your dead-end job which stifles your creativity and is holding you back from becoming the person you deserve to be, is meaningless;

  • The relationship you're in, or have been in, which is but a shadow of what you could be enjoying, and which leaves you both feeling frustrated and unfulfilled, is meaningless;

  • If you're not in a relationship and are searching for your ideal partner, every person you meet will prove meaningless to you, unless you first discover your life purpose;

  • The intensive studies and lifelong learning you are currently or have previously completed, are meaningless;

  • All your unfocussed and misdirected efforts at improving your health, are meaningless;

  • Your financial efforts to become wealthy or simply make ends meet, are meaningless;

  • Your life principles and religious beliefs, are meaningless;

  • Your attempts to make sense of current world events, are meaningless;

  • Your greatest achievement in life to date, no matter how lofty, is meaningless;

  • The one pastime you are most passionate about, no matter what it may be, is meaningless;

  • Your material possessions: your stunning home, flashy new car, wardrobe of designer clothing, whether real or desired, are meaningless;

  • What you think you're contributing to society, is meaningless;

  • Your lifelong goals, dreams and ambitions, unless they fit in with your life purpose, are meaningless;

  • The future of your precious children, unless you've taught them how to find their life purpose, is meaningless.

MAGIC IN YOUR LIFE !

I want everything in my life to be enchanting. Don't you? I want a charming house, a charming lover and an enchanted bank account. I would like every person I know to be charming. To get these things I must do some work. I have to clean my home, I'm nice to my lover and I work to earn money. And, I do the extra things that will assure me of having enchantment. I use magic. Yes, I do things, like magic spells to get what I want. Magic is ritual, intent, repetition and the correct state of mind.

YOUR LIFE ATTITUDE !

How can two people with the same skills and abilities, in the same situation, end up with two totally different outcomes? The difference maker is the attitude.of each of the individuals.

"Remember, it is your
attitude that colors every aspect of your life. It is like the mind’s paintbrush.''

You must learn not only how to develop an attitude that will have a tremendous impact on career, family, and daily living, but also how to maintain that attitude for the rest of your life.

RHYTHM OF LIFE !

"You cannot add years to your life, but you can certainly add life to your years"

"People sacrifice half their health to gain wealth and later in the life spend half their wealth to
get back their health"

Did you know that breathing technique that uses specific rhythms of breath to detoxify every cell of the body and infuse it with energy combined with additional breathing techniques, meditation, knowledge about the mind and how to manage negativity, as well as other interactive processes, provides the experience of how to live with ease and success !

Further with regular practice (15-20 minutes a day), there is a vast improvement in energy levels, greater ease in interpersonal relationships, increased ability to work under pressure, greater joy, as well as increased creativity and mental clarity.
